Amazing scenery. Overlooking Indian Bay with Bequia in the distance. The rugged, mountainous island of St. Vincent drips with green foliage. Surrounded by black sand beaches and topped by a smoldering volcano it has spectacular dive sites as well as other outdoor activities for adventurous souls.
The view of Indian Bay, overlooking Fort Duvernette, with Bequia in the distance, is one of the finest in the world. It also overlooks a dive site we've been visiting for 18 years, Critter Corner, the original muck dive.
No trip to St. Vincent is complete without both diving and topside touring. Few tourists visit St. Vincent and the tourist facilities are minimal. St. Vincent is one, if not the only Caribbean Island that has not been developed for tourism. There are plenty of sights to see, Vincentians are friendly, but often shy, people (perhaps because they are not deluged with outside visitors.
