The 'Best Five' underwater photo contest was open to anyone
who participated in our 2002 underwater photography tours
to St. Vincent.
Entries were a series of 5 photos, each of a
different species of creature. The photos must have been taken
between July 15 and August 26 during a City Seahorse Underwater
Photography & Critter Diving Tour.
Each photographer could enter their 2 'Best
Five' series. Entries were judged on
1. technical perfection (focus, exposure, lighting,
no backscatter, etc.),
2. composition &
3. impact on the viewer.
To judge this competition, each photo in a series
was given points by the judges (from 0, big problems - 3,
excellent) and added up to determine the winning 'Best Five'.
