Hi Deb, well I'm back in Sydney and I just wanted to thank you for a really great trip - one of the very best I have ever done and from a photographic viewpoint, the most productive ever!
Thanks again for a great trip!

"I've been on two of Deb's trips - one to St. Vincent and one the past few weeks with her in Raja Ampat. I organize charters myself, and the reason I've gone with her (and expect to again in the future) is that she simply constructs and runs outstanding uw photo trips. She goes out of her way to think of every detail, and directs the dive operators she uses so as to maximize photo opportunities for her groups. For example, I saw far more critters in St. Vincent in a week with her than I did in more than two weeks on a private charter I did in that area with my own group. Likewise, I had far more and better photo opp's in Raja Ampat on this trip last week than on a charter of the same length there that I organized earlier this year. I realize that this makes it sound like the trips I organize are crappy, and that's really not the case; it's just that Deb's trips are really a cut above.
BTW, Deb is not only a great organizer, she has a great photographic eye and is an extremely accomplished uw photographer in her own right. Unless you are a troublemaker who doesn't play well with others (in which case Deb reserves the right to send you home), I wholeheartedly recommend her trips. You'll get more than your money's worth."Bruce Y.

bornela calcarataI just wanted to say thanks for the great time at St. Vincent. The trip was very well-run, and everything went very smoothly. But I wanted to especially thank both of you for pointing out some great subjects for me to photograph, and for coming to find me on several occasions to shoot something. I have great shots of the bulls-eye and red-banded lobsters (both the male and female red-banded), ALL the frog fish and sea horses, a viper and banded moray, several shrimp, three kinds of octopus. And some great squid shots. Here is one shot of the bulls-eye lobster for you to see:

Thanks again for a great trip!

Hi Deb,
We enjoyed the trip so much and a lot depended on how you and Tony took care of us. I gave the brochures to (our) dive club VP last night for his consideration in future trips.

Thanks for the email about your amazing day one of trip four. I can't believe it - (I don't even know what an arrow squid is, no less a split lure frogfish - although the names are descriptive enough) - Neat! Terry said you were holding out on us!
We just wanted to let you know how much we learned from our diving with group three! Thanks to you and Sarah for all your patience with us. We had a wonderful time. Katie wants lots more scuba and Tom wants more free diving!
Also, I wanted you to know how impressed we were with Norris. As you know his bed and breakfast is a library of great fiction and info on the Caribbean. We loved the neighborhood dogs and roosters - a splendid cacophony! He gave us a wonderful tour continually commenting on the history and culture and answering all our questions. At Tom's urging we hiked up La Soufriere and although Terry and I huffed and puffed in the heat of the day, it was magnificent and fun to walk in the rainforest and see the vegetative growth since the last eruption. So - thanks for arranging our stay with Norris.

Just a quick note to thanks you for the exceptional trip. I want you to know that we think Sarah is the best dive operator we have been diving with. She is so personable, knowledgeable, responsible and her excitement for diving and the creatures is unparalleled.
Norris was also great. He gave us an education about the Island- his place is very comfortable for a stay, and he took care of our every wish.

Magnificent Sea Urchin Hey Deb -
Just wanted to thank you for the best dive photo trip I could have asked for. Believe it or not I already have my slides developed and have about 50 or 60 REALLY nice shots of all the great critters!!!! Of course it may take me a few weeks to scan them and get them online.
Thanks again to you and Tony for lending me the equipment that I needed to make it all happen!
...still trying to pick my top 5, it's so hard to choose just five!

I am soooooooooooooooo happy with my images. Every roll is a joy!!!!!
Attached is a peek at my favorite picture so far. I will send you one of the little Octopus soon too.
Thanks again for a wonderful time!

about the 100's of Magnificent Sea Urchins at Critter Corner:
> Their leader, thought to be a huge dark red urchin, with a body
> approx. 8" in diameter and 15" overall diameter - patterned
> identical to the orange/white urchins, was spotted surrounded by
> densely packed troops of the smaller urchins. Obviously a takeover
> of Young Island is in the making. Anyone have any idea what such
> a large urchin might be doing in the midst of the normal ones?Deb,
Reliable, unnamed government sources have indicated that a similar large red sea urchin, with entourage, has been the Echinoderm in Residence in the Oval Office Aquarium (OOA) for months, advising Bush and Cheney upon both domestic and international affairs..The urchin was heard to mutter after a particularly long session, "This guy's as dense as a tubeworm"
however it certainly was not in reference to President Bush. A top secret International Summit is planned for Young Island this Fall, so the urchin security force's stealthy approach is clearly nothing to get concerned about!Count me in for 2 weeks of St V next year!
