The "Focus" of our tours

We have been escorting small groups of divers to St. Vincent for the past seven years with great success.   guest comments>>

Our tours specialize in underwater photography, however, those who love unlimited diving, unusual marine life and brilliantly colored reefs and fish are welcome to join us.

There are plenty of guides and it is fun to show off our critters (and not be quite so cluttered with camera gear!) We can always use models and more "critter spotters"!

Our trips are VERY casual, with a focus on opportunities to see and photograph the natural beauty of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, both topside and under water.

Our Hotel and Services

Our accommodations are at one of two hotels. When you read this description, please be aware that these are special arrangements for our groups only and all the services mentioned are not generally available to hotel guests.

Lagoon Marina Hotel St Vincent
Lagoon Hotel & Marina

The Lagoon Hotel and Marina was recently renovated and has AC rooms with private balcony overlooking the marina (some great sunsets with yachts in the foreground). Open air restaurant with nice view, pool, early morning coffee service, quick laundry service and the marina market for munchies, drinks and necessities. Lagoon has the advantage of having its own dock where the dive boat picks us up for the day's or night's dive. Lagoon is located in a quiet lagoon (surprise!).

Lagoon serves some of the tastiest food on the island, but only to our special groups! Our meals are planned and only available to our Tour groups. We are investigating the possibility to have a Caribbean cooking class from the hotel chef!

Dive packates include all accommodation, all meals on dive days, diving with the only PADI dive shop in St. Vincent, taxes, service charge, airport transfers, pick up by boat. Your only additional expense will be tips, lunch, any other excursions or meals outside the hotel and souveniers (and of course film, processing, etc.!).

Additional days of diving and nights in the hotel are easily arranged.

Preparing for a Dive

After the boat is safely moored at the dive site, the group leader and divemaster give a thorough dive briefing to inform the divers of the underwater terrain, expected marine life, depth, and instructions for performing the dive.

Each diver is required to have and use a dive computer for their own safety.

We will determine what each diver wishes to do and split up. Those who wish to go with a guide will do that. There may be specific creatures that you want to find, so if you will let us know, you can go with a guide to look for the critter, or the guide will find you if the critter is spotted.

We gear up, then walk to the dive platform and don fins and mask. Once in the water, your camera will be handed carefully down to you.

The Dive

Experienced divers and buddy pairs are allowed to execute their own dive. Beginners and those wishing to have a guide are accompanied by one of the divemasters who will point out creatures (seahorses! frogfish!) and be ready to help less experienced divers and photographers.

During the dive, photographers may exit the water to change film, batteries, lenses, repair non-functional equipment, etc. Most dives are shallow at the mooring and will not pose a safety problem.

The Exit

At the end of the dive, each diver or buddy pair surfaces when they are ready. We only ask that if you stay in much longer than the rest of the group, you have a spectacular photo to show us why!

At the surface, the camera, weight belt, BCD and fins are handed up to the boat staff and the diver climbs a ladder back into the boat. If you have back or knee problems, you may slip out of your BCD and have it lifted onto the boat for you.

Please tell us what you want us to do with your camera. We can rinse if for you, or place it on the table for you to rinse yourself. We will not rinse Nikonos cameras as they are too easy to flood with an accident in the rinse tank. We prefer that you flood them yourself.

During the surfact interval, the group will decide where to go next (weather permitting). Many times they will want to stay at the same site to show each other the special critters they found. We do not have a fixed itinerary and let the group decide each day what interests them and where they would like to go.

Rental Equipment

Rental equipment (Mask, snorkel, fins, and BCD) is available. There are no dive computers for rent.

We are sorry, but this tour cannot be booked directly with the dive shop nor can we accommodate divers who choose other accommodations. Our suppliers agree to provide special services for our groups and in return, we guarantee them a minimum number of guests.

We can help you set up an unescorted dive trip for your group.
